RECENT TREND IN CANCER OF THE UTERINE CERVIX


Abstract
Steady progress has been accomplished in the experimental studies on the gynecological neopasms, pedally cervical carcinoma, in association with the development of immunology, molecular biology,
cytogenetics, and it has certainly contributed to patbophysiology, diagnosis. and treatment of e disease.
Recent trend is discussed, as initiation of the developmental mechanism of the uterine cancer on the following subjects.
1. Herpes virus hominis, type 2
2. Phagocytic activity of squamous metaplastic cells.
3. Epidemiological studies.
4. Colposcopy as a early detection
5. Recent trend in radiation therapy.
6. Radio sensitivity test method.
For the diagnosis of the lesion on the cervix, colposcopy has been popular in the European continent. As a routine and population screen, colposcopy has been emphasized.
Finally, for the treatment of the cervical carcinoma, radiotherapy and radio sensitivity test were also discussed.
